A Truly International Competition!
After four days of fierce competition, the 2009 edition is almost over, and the 144 participants’ hard
work is yielding results. The semi-finals had a definite international taste to them: of the nine teams
competing, five were European—the Germans being exceptionally well represented, two were
American, and only two were Canadian—a complete reversal from last year, as some may recall. Teams
Dublin, Helsinki, and South Carolina—the only ones who will be sleeping tonight as the rest of the
teams party it up at the Winter Masquerade—will fight for the cup tomorrow, and results will be
announced at the Final Banquet, as the Competition comes to an end for the 28th time.

interiors, should complete the 1st high-end A380 for a VIP. Competitors were urged to use creativity and
innovation to propose new avenues to help the company continue to cope with the ever growing challenges
of the aviation industry.

The week begins...
Monday, after several months of preparation, a few delayed flights and some lost luggage, all 36 teams made it safely to Montreal to kick off the 28th edition of the John Molson MBA International Case Competition. We had an excellent turn-out for the City Chase event, during which teams got to know one another and discover the city from a brand new angle.

Following the division draw, participants and coaches attended the RBC Opening Cocktail and had a chance to visit the beautiful boardroom located on the 41st floor of Place Ville-Marie. The night ended at the Bierbrier Hospitality Suite, where everyone got to relax before the competition part of the week begins tomorrow morning with case 1.
